The building ELEVATIONS AND MATERIALITY

The elevational treatment is designed to complement the formal architectural design approach, through the use of two differing, but complementary facade designs, which reinforce the planar composition of the architectural form. The north and south elevations comprise a combination of clear and solid glazed panels, with a graded colour palette derived from the tones and colours of the site’s context, together with a series of vertical fins, providing further

visual texture, and helping to mitigate microclimatic effectsincluding wind and solar gain.
The east and west elevations are predominantly composed of neutral, glazed panels with vertical louvres to the residential winter garden spaces, which will provide depth and articulation to the faНade, and create animation and variation as louvres are opened or closed by residents, and beautiful reflections, which will change according to weather conditions.
